About the Role
On behalf of our client in the Banking industry, Astek Canada is seeking a motivated Software Developer ready to take on new challenges.

Your Responsibilities
As a Software Developer, you will be responsible for:
• Plan, manage, lead and oversee the end-to-end delivery of requirements throughout the lifecycle of the project in alignment with the business and/or enterprise needs and strategies.
• Commitment to applying advanced to expert knowledge of business technology delivery practices and standards and related expertise, including design, development, testing and project management.
• Advanced to expert knowledge of system analysis process and techniques, as well as system components, functionality, interfaces, data flows and business rules.
• Determines operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.
• Monitors project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions.
• Prepares technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Establish and maintain full requirements traceability and work with the business to prioritize requirements and scope changes to ensure business needs are met.
• Capable of translating business requirements into JIRA stories for the POD.
• Adept knowledge to work on JIRA, confluence and Agile methodologies.
• Take ownership and communicate progress on work packages, including requirements management, in a concise and timely manner, escalating issues to project manager, partners and manager where appropriate.

Your Qualifications
Education/Experience:
• Undergraduate Degree or Technical Certificate.
• 7+ years relevant experience.
Key Skills:
• Experience with Java Spring Boot – Preferably need 5-6 years’ experience.
• Experience with Angular – Preferably need 1-2 years’ experience.
• Experience with RESTful APIs – Preferably need 4-5 years’ experience.
• Experience with Database Management-Preferably need 1-2 years’ experience.
• Good understanding of Unit testing concepts, Agile methodology and Version controls.
