Title : Lead Senior WINDOWS Analyst (Windows, Vmware, AD Certificate Authority, PKI, FSMO Roles)
Duration : permanent
Location: twice per week onsite, downtown Montreal (hybrid)

Managers note: There are already 3 Technical SME in the current team: AD Specialist, Security Specialist, and Vmware, Citrix Specialist. The Technical Lead will understand the 3 roles et can make recommendations and provide concrete solutions. Candidate has to be strong with AD, have already implemented any hybrid solutions, familiar with the security aspect of Windows Servers, such as Certificate or hardening, etc.
Responsibilities :
• your main expertise is in the analysis of Windows server environments, ensuring the highest levels of hardening and security as well as to look for opportunities for automation and to put together the plans to implement them.
• In addition, you must also have a thorough knowledge of VMware and server hardware.
• Plan, design and ensure the successful execution of the tasks associated with the Windows environment;
• Define standards as well as Security standards for the Windows Servers environment;
• Analyze, plan, design and ensure implementation of standards for the Active Directory Domain landscape and Azure AD;
• Contribute to the design, optimization and administration of the F5 Big-IP servers and technologies used
• Test new technologies to see if it would be good solutions (example: Windows Server 2022)
• Analyze and ensure proactive implementation of solutions to address and remediate Security vulnerabilities and potential issues;
• Proactively identify opportunities for automation where required and put together processes as well as automation in order to increase the efficiency of the environment;
• Contribute to the design, administration and optimization of virtual Windows server technologies on VMware;
• Participate in project analysis, implementation as well as their delivery; may also be required to lead some internal initiatives or projects related to Windows server infrastructure;
• Develop new or update documentation in order to support the projects as well as operations;
• Analyze, identify and recommend improvements needed in the Windows environment to improve and optimize the performance;
• Assess the impact of the proposed changes to the Windows environment for the existing technology and recommend the most appropriate solution;
• Assess current Windows infrastructure usage and identify opportunities to save costs and/or to more effectively manage assets and make recommendations;
• Assist in resolving Level 3 type of issues and incidents;
• Participate in the management of changes and problems when help is required;
• Implement and maintain up to date performance indicators;
• Analyze and implement improvements for the availability and the continuity of the environment;

Required skills :
• You have proven experience with large Windows server environment (1500+ servers);
• Experience with Active Directory Certificate Authority, PKI, FSMO Roles)
• You have a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in IT, administering Windows Servers including 3 years with Active Directory Administration;
• You have advanced knowledge of PowerShell scripting and in developing solutions with the different automatization tools;
• You have advanced knowledge in automating the deployment of Windows Servers;
• You have very good knowledge of Microsoft product licensing (on-prem Windows server, Azure VM, hypervisor…);
• You have very good knowledge with the design, administration and optimization of F5 Big-IP servers and their technologies, such as LTM and APM ;
• You demonstrate a good level of knowledge of the Active Directory infrastructure design, troubleshooting and configuration skills;
• You have experience with Azure AD and troubleshooting as it relates to Office 365;
• You have advanced knowledge of networking standards: TCP / IP, DHCP, DNS, routing;
• You have experience with the design, administration and optimization of virtual Windows servers in a VMware environment;
• You have advanced knowledge of virtualized and Hyperconverged Infrastructures;
• You have advanced knowledge of monitoring processes and management tools (for example SCCM, Ansible, Ansible Tower);
• You have a significant experience with Windows Servers Security standards and configurations;
• You have significant experience with Microsoft SQL server design and troubleshooting;
• You have a good knowledge of VMWare, SharePoint, Group Policy, Kerberos, LDAP and Windows 10;
• You have experience with public cloud offerings, such as: Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.;
• You have good knowledge of Backup and Storage technologies;

Lieu : centre-ville de Montréal 2 fois par semaine (mode hybride)
Note des managers : Il y a déjà 3 PME techniques dans l’équipe actuelle : 1 Spécialiste AD, 1 Spécialiste Sécurité, 1 Vmware, Spécialiste Citrix.
• Le Technical Lead comprendra les 3 rôles et pourra faire des recommandations et apporter des solutions concrètes. Le candidat doit être fort avec AD, avoir déjà mis en œuvre des solutions hybrides, être familiarisé avec l’aspect sécurité des serveurs Windows, comme le certificat ou le durcissement, etc.
