About the Role
On behalf of our client in the Banking industry, Astek Canada is seeking a motivated Solutions Developer ready to take on new challenges.

Your Responsibilities
As a Solutions Developer, you will be responsible for:
• Responsible for maintaining our current our data master space and be a key contributor as we design the next generation of cloud native data and analytics platform.
• Experienced backend development to build components that support our master’s suite of applications.
• Support the data needs of multiple teams, systems, and products.
• Develop backend services or data pipelines for stability, performance and scalability.
• Provide technical support to promptly resolve escalated incidents/outages.
• Develop and document a detailed solution design, impart your subject matter expertise throughout life cycle.
• Develop functional, technical and user interface designs for an application and/or system.
• Conduct code reviews to address quality, standards compliance, reusability and ease of maintenance, Operational Readiness Reviews, and support gating and review sign-offs for solution design.
• Ensure design leverages existing reusable components, traces back to business requirements, and that new modules are designed with reusability in mind.

Your Qualifications
Education/Experience:
• 7+ years of experience in a related field as a backend developer.
• Experience with Java, Java Streams API Spring, SpringBoot with relational SQL and noSQL databases.
Key Skills:
• 7+ years of relevant experience in a related field of job function as a back-end developer.
• Experience with Java, Java Streams API Spring, SpringBoot with relational SQL and noSQL databases.
• Experience with Messaging queues: MQ, Kafka, Solace.
• Experience designing production grade, scalable applications and microservices.
• Experience working on Agile Teams
• Experience building concise and user-friendly interfaces as well as the microservices to support those UI capabilities
