About the Role
On behalf of our client in the Banking industry, Astek Canada is seeking a motivated Software Engineer ready to take on new challenges.

Your Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:
• Full lifecycle application development, Designing, coding and debugging applications in various software languages.
• Software analysis, code analysis, requirements analysis, software review, identification of code metrics, system risk analysis, software reliability analysis Object-oriented.
• Design and Analysis (OOA and OOD) Software modeling and simulation.
• Performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability, automation.
• Support, maintain and document software functionality Integrate software with existing systems.
• Evaluate and identify new technologies for implementation Project Planning and Project Management.
• Maintain standards compliance Implement localization or globalization of software.
• Meeting with stakeholders to confirm requirement
• Work with test and promote to higher environment.

Your Qualifications
Education/Experience:
• 8+ years of software engineering experience including architecting, designing and/or programming.
• 3+ years programming in Python and Extensive programming experience.
Key Skills:
• Expertise in Web development and API integrations (RESTful and SOAP web services, JSON/XML).
• Strong working experience of Windows and Linux environments.
• Sound knowledge of common network protocols including TCP/IP and HTTP.
• Knowledge of modern digital architecture (cloud, container, messaging and microservices).
