About the Role
On behalf of our client in the product manufacturing industry, Astek Canada is seeking a motivated Senior Project Manager ready to take on new challenges.

Your Responsibilities
As a Senior Project Manager you will be responsible for:
• Lead end-to-end project management for the Data Lake initiative and associated data roadmap.
• Manage project scope, goals, deliverables, and successful metrics in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
• Collaborate with data architects, engineers, business analysts, external partners and executive sponsors.
• Facilitate regular steering committee meetings and stakeholder updates.
• Ensure alignment between business needs and technical implementation.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Manage change requests and ensure proper documentation and impact analysis.
• Ensure adherence to data security, governance, privacy, and security standards.
• Support the development of data quality frameworks and metadata management.
• Provide transparent reporting on project status, KPIs, and milestones.
• Communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences.

Your Qualifications
Education/Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT project management, with proven experience managing large-scale data initiatives (e.g., Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, Cloud Data Platforms, Data Governance/Management).
• Extensive experience in a large corporate environment within the manufacturing sector.
• Proven ability to manage multiple interconnected projects simultaneously and deliver results on time and within budget.
• PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
Key Skills:
• Strong understanding of data architecture, ETL processes, and cloud technologies (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Strong knowledge of waterfall project management methodology.
• Strong knowledge of LEAN project management practice.
• Bilingual proficiency in French and English is preferred.
