About the Role

Astek Canada is seeking a motivated ICT Engineering Technologist ready to take on new challenges.

Your Responsibilities

As an ICT Engineering Technologist, you will be responsible for:
• Read and interpret test procedures and technical documentation.
• Coordinate field testing with CTS counterparts and ensure site readiness.
• Analyze system interfaces and execute functional tests against defined requirements.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in the field.
• Prepare closure documentation following successful test completion.
• Record and report test results and observations daily.
• Ensure configuration records are maintained and up to date.
• Comply with internal quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Report Hours of Service in accordance with test protocols.

Your Qualifications

Education/Experience:
• College diploma or degree in a technical field (e.g., Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering Technology).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the design or testing of railway signaling systems.
• Experience testing wayside signaling systems on large-scale infrastructure projects.

Key Skills:
• Working knowledge of electronics, embedded systems, and basic software environments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Ability to work independently in a demanding, field-based environment.
• Willingness to work shifts, nights, or weekends as required by testing schedules.
• Familiarity with CTS (Customer) Operating Rules.
• Experience with ALSTOM testing procedures and processes.
• Previous work experience with CTS or other transit authorities.
